The so-called #ReceptioGate refers to the defamatory campaign launched between late 2022 and early 2024 against Prof. Carla Rossi, director of the RECEPTIO research centre, following her formal criminal complaint to the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage (TPC) in Italy.
The complaint concerned the illicit trade and dismemberment of medieval manuscripts. The subsequent defamation campaign included severe reputational attacks, false claims, and death threats. It was orchestrated primarily by individuals operating in the antiquarian manuscript market and spread through anonymous emails, manipulated blogs, and defamatory press.
This page collects and organises all official and verifiable documents, academic publications, and public statements relating to the case—aiming to provide clear and authoritative access to the facts.
